Murray Wedding – 05.14.2022
An intimate fiesta among cherished family and closest friends.
When Christina reached out she wasn’t exactly sure what the couple wanted for their meal but mentioned that Glass & Lumber had a margarita bar that intrigued them. My mind instantly went to family-style dining since we were dealing with an intimate group. Between us, we decided large platters perched on lazy Susan’s heaping full of Mexican fare was the way to go for this wedding.
Hard & soft wedding tacos nestled with options of smoked brisket, citrus & lime-infused pork and a spicy cumin chicken were given to the guests leaving them to decide which and how many toppings to add to each. Tropical Salsa, guacamole, pickled onions, and Pico de Gallo were among the favourites while some preferred the traditional cheese, salsa and sour cream. Dainty Cobs Mexican street corn and freshly made corn chips were also options for the guests to try. Â Whatever they chose the conversations were full of laughter and great company. What more can you ask for?
This was the first time I have catered an event at Glass & Lumber in this stunning building. The owners have done a beautiful job of letting the bones of the structure become a fitting backdrop to any event held there. The staff was accommodating and pleasant to work with side by side which always makes our job so much easier.
I want to thank this couple for trusting me with their special day and for thinking outside the box.
